Hi! I’m Heather, a science-obsessed teacher. I taught Kindergarten for six years before moving to third grade. I helped my school become certified in STEM, which means that the whole school implemented lessons that integrated Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics as a combined practice. Pulling these things together along with reading and writing can help kids have a deeper understanding of the world. They also involve real-life experiences, so there are fewer wails of “why do we have to learn this?!” and more “can we go out and play in the garden/creek/portable kitchen?”
