STEM what is it good for?

Starts and stops. Planning, doing, re-doing. Even my foray into my own website has been much like the Engineering Design Process.

In case you don’t know (and that’s ok! isn’t that what we’re here for?), STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Now don’t get it twisted, I’m all for the A in STEM, and I definitely involve the arts! I just like the acronym STEM better.

Now, this may look like a lot of mumbo jumbo, but I assure you it is not! Here I want to give parents, teachers, and kids ideas for creating STEM beyond the vinegar and baking soda volcanoes. Meaningful learning that will inspire a lifetime of curiosity.

So. What are we exactly talking about here? Well, like too many things in the educational system, Science has been pushed aside like day old French bread. But I am one of those who believes that not only can we integrate science into those *shudder* “testable subjects,” but we can improve understanding of all subjects through STEM.

So here I will give you tips, tricks, ideas, and hopefully a lot of usable information on integrating STEM into your student’s life!
